Crazy Bird Stories

2016 11 3 Crazy Bird Stories

Daryl Barnes: The main aim of this illustrated book is to introduce little kids to birds via entertainment plus educational methods. Having fun with twelve locally found bird species of the Mackay district in Central Queensland begins with eye catching illustrations. Add a compilation of short fictitious catchy and rhyming stories plus a ‘find me’ silhouette of a fairy-wren in each story and you have a good kids’ read. But as well as all this, at the back of the book is a photo example of each bird species featured and some brief information about these ‘real’ birds. This book will hopefully encourage children (and parents and grandparents) to seek and discover more about the large range of birds not only locally but wherever they go.
